Australia has become the most expensive country in the world to buy parcels online, with some residents unable to get a parcel delivered to their doorstep.
The Post Office in Melbourne has been issuing a daily stamp for more than a month and the Australian Bureau of Statistics recently reported a surge in the number of parcels sent through its automated system.
While Australia’s Postal Service has been criticised for its high price, many have complained of the difficulty of tracking parcels in the post, where they are typically left at their offices.

“I’ve been really frustrated, not just by what’s happened to me, but by what it’s like to have to wait for a parcel to be delivered to my doorstep,” said one resident.
The post office in the western Sydney suburb of Richmond Hill, which sits close to Sydney’s CBD, has received more than 12,000 parcels in just one month.
The parcels have been sent by post, and most are sent by parcel post.
Residents in the suburb say that they are struggling to track the parcel delivery and have had to wait up to six weeks for a package to arrive.
“It’s been quite frustrating,” said the resident.
“They’ve not been able to give me the address where I can see that I can get a postal code, which is very important,” she said.
“We’ve been given no information about where it is going to be, where it will be delivered, when it will arrive.”
Many residents have complained that they have not been given the option of contacting their post office to check on the status of their parcel, which can be very difficult.
“The Post office has been unable to give us the addresses of the post offices where parcels are delivered to,” the resident said.
The resident said she was unsure how much longer she could wait for her parcel to arrive, given the delays in delivering parcels.
“Why should I have to go to another address for a post office when I don’t even know where it’s going to come from?” she said, adding that she was not happy about the delays.
“If I had the money, I’d be more than happy to wait,” she added.
While most residents said they were happy with their delivery times, many said that they were not satisfied with the post office’s delivery service.
“What I want is to be able to find out when my parcel is going out and if I have the money to send it back,” said another resident.
“I just want to be guaranteed I can have a parcel sent to my door.”
Australia’s postal service has also faced criticism for a lack of communication, with many residents expressing frustration with the lack of information they have received from the Post office.
“This is a very frustrating time for us,” said a resident in a postcard posted on social media.
“Our parcel tracking is not up to date, the Post offices are not responding to us and I’m not receiving any updates on my parcel.”
Australia has a long history of parcel delivery, with parcels being delivered to people’s homes from the beginning of the republic.
However, there are some people in the country who are not so keen on the process.
“These parcels are very expensive, they are expensive for the postal service,” said Chris, a postal worker from Brisbane.
“There’s been no updates from the post since March.”Read more
